Victoria, Vancouver Island

At the end of our holiday, having left the ship at Vancouver, we crossed over to Victoria for 3 days. It is a beautiful friendly place and the highlights of the stay were a boat trip to see killer whales and a visit to Boutchart gardens.

There were lots of whales around the boat sometimes
in family units of two or three.

Three pods live in the waters off Victoria.

The Dolphins

All around Vancouver and Victoria, on street corners and Malls, are dolphins which have been each designed by a Canadian artist. At the end of a year they will be auctioned for charity. These two are in Victoria.
